SUMMARY
ACET will provide aviation support to Naval Air Systems Command, other United States (US) Government agencies, and the Government’s Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers. AIR-6.0 has established this Modification Kits, Aircraft Recovery, Augmentation, Components and Engines (KRACEn) contract to provide flexible, ready, and rapidly deployable capabilities for Aviation Systems worldwide.
BACKGROUND
- The KRACEn scope provides aviation support for contracted items and services for modification kits, aircraft recovery, augmentation, components and engines
- This includes logistics functions and maintenance tasks required to keep US Government and its FMS customers’ aircraft ready, available, and operating worldwide. KRACEn may be used for platforms at all phases of the acquisition life cycle and may be funded with various types of Government appropriations or FMS funding
- KRACEn is an aviation acquisition vehicle for components for aircraft (i.e., propeller, engine, displays) that can be installed and directly used by the Armed Forces to carry out an assigned mission with their platform
- KRACEn provides Augmentation personnel support for aviation platform activities operated under Military, Military/Commercial, and/or Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations, to include personal for: fixed-wing (airplanes), rotary-wing (helicopters), tiltrotor, unmanned aircraft vehicles (UAV), lighter than air vehicles (airships), as well as integrally related systems and weapon systems
