Global Tactical Advanced Communication Systems II (GTACS II) Contract $5.1B
SUMMARY
GTACS II was established to facilitate the modernization and upgrade the United States Army tactical communications network in support of the Army’s Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications – Tactical (PEO C3T) headquarters in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. GTACS II is the primary contract vehicle supporting PEO C3T mission to develop or procure hardware and software that can be integrated, tested, fielded and supported as networked battle command solutions that enable Warfighter effectiveness. The GTACS II contract will be used to improve our military’s communication systems enabling the Army to rapidly adapt to the changing nature of warfighting and the tactical command, control, communications technologies and services market.
BACKGROUND
ACET will support the Warfighter by supplying a range of services such as research and development, production and deployment, sustainment, systems engineering and integration, operations and maintenance, program management, integrated logistics support, installation, test and evaluation, studies, analysis and reporting, and C3T hardware products, software systems and subsystems.
